Lóla Restaurant Opens
New restaurant by Michelin chef Sigurður Laufdal takes over for Anna Jóna.
An experienced restauranteur, Mr. Laufdal has been chef of the year in Iceland, has competed in the Bocuse d'Or and worked at the world renowned Geranium in Copenhagen. His previous restaurant, OTO, quickly gained prominence.
Mr. Laufdal said at the opening that the space for the restaurant, built and owned by Haraldur Thorleifsson, is the best designed restaurant in the country. The space previously housed Anna Jóna and has among other things a beautiful private cinema.
Visiting the place, Gordon Ramsey added that the “restaurant is beautifully enchanting, and the food delicious”.
